Who is this Assist-Aunt ?

An Assist-Aunt ? Would you like your group to develop connections with the Francophonie? Living on Quebec's North Coast, Auntie Caroline will become your adoptive aunt, an exceptional Assist-Aunt. An author, storyteller, and puppeteer with a solid background in education (B.Ed., M.A.), Caroline Lajoie-Jempson will offer you quality support on a monthly basis. Whether it is through postcards, stories, or activities, she will become your virtual assistant for your preschool and elementary school group, facilitating the discovery of French culture and language.

In short, she invites you to become part of her extended family, the Francophonie. Book her as soon as possible!

Before the story

At the beginning of each month, you will receive a real giant laminated postcard (not virtual) with vocabulary words, expressions and cultural informations are highlighted with humor and care. 

The idea is to prepare and motivate students for the story of Tantine coming up ! 

During the story

Each month, you will receive your 30 to 40 minutes video link (MP4) that you download ahead on your computer. 

Each story includes :

• An introduction by Tantine

• A funny and educational story animated with puppets, rhymes and songs

• A conclusion where the objective or message is reviewed and revealed.

Tantine  tells the name of each participants during the introduction or the conclusion of each story, making it very special !

When one of our student is sick, it is possible to watch the presentation with the link. Also our group is often asking to listen to the story again and again !

After the story

Since her beginning, Tantine is always giving or sending a PDF activity to highlight the message of her stories. 

The idea is to help the child to remember the story and enjoy French along with the characters or the big moments of the story, vocabulary words, rhymes and expressions in French. 

Sometimes, it would be a coloring activity, associating words, answering questions to invite students to talk about the story with their educator, teacher and parent at home.
